$PLINTH
Plinth's own token, its fixed supply and public launch, and the 1% of every sale that buys it to burn.
$PLINTH is Plinth's own token. It is separate from the tokens launched with Plinth: each of those belongs to the project that launched it, with its own mint, treasury and floor.
Supply and launch
| Ticker | $PLINTH |
| Supply | 1,000,000,000, fixed |
| Launch | 100% of the supply in one public launch, on the same terms for everyone |
| Held back | none: no presale, team allocation, investor allocation, airdrop, reserved supply or vesting |
The protocol share
Every purchase in a Plinth sale pays 1% of its cost to the protocol. The program takes it first, then the team share from what is left, and the rest goes into the launch's treasury, all in the purchase's own transaction.
For a purchase that costs C in a launch with a team share s:
| Part | Amount | Goes to |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol share | C × 1%, rounded down | the protocol's USDC account |
| Team share | (C − protocol share) × s, rounded down | the launch's team wallet |
| Treasury | the rest | the launch's treasury vault |
Which sales pay it
- A launch's first sale.
- Every follow-on sale. A follow-on sale sells through the same purchase instruction as the first one, so each of its purchases splits the same way. Its lowest start price allows for both shares, F ÷ (0.99 × (1 − s)), as Follow-on sales explains.
Nothing else pays it. Yield goes to the treasury and the team as the launch's yield route sets, and redemption fees stay in each launch's own treasury.
Buy and burn
All of the protocol share buys $PLINTH in the market, and every $PLINTH it buys is burned. Burned tokens leave the supply for good.
The protocol share collects in one USDC account owned by the protocol's program address, seed "protocol". No wallet holds its keys, and the program moves money out of it only to buy $PLINTH to burn.
Where you see it
- Studio: Launch a token shows To the protocol beside the team's amount and the treasury.
- Token pages: the launch terms list the Protocol share at sale, and each purchase quote shows the Protocol share in USDC.
- Receipts: a purchase's receipt and its event record the protocol share as
fee_atoms. See Program.
